What is an OWL?
An OWL is an Outdoor Week of Learning aimed at improving the lives of young people experiencing disadvantages. Heavily subsidised by Ernest Cook Trust, schools can bring up to 24 young people to Lambourne End Centre for a 5-day, 4-night residential at just £50 per person.
What we provide at LEC
Our 54-acre site on the edge of Hainault Forest includes a working farm, beautiful gardens and thrilling adventurous activities, all just a few miles from London.
An OWL consists of catered on-site accommodation with a jam-packed programme of activities tailored to your group and their needs, delivered by our inspiring team of qualified instructors.

Our expectations of schools include:

Fulfilment of pre-trip, post-trip and 6-week follow up surveys for students and staff so that we can measure impact.

Dedicated lead teacher and committed support staff to work with us and accompany your students during their stay.

Commitment to the Schools Participation Agreement, Data Sharing Agreement and to gathering parental consent forms.
