Lambourne End Centre is committed to taking responsible action to help control the spread of the Covid-19 virus in accordance with the Government’s guidelines, whilst supporting those from our community who are vulnerable, at risk or marginalised.
We will therefore be remaining partially open for a limited number of the Centre’s beneficiaries; those who attend the Centre’s targeted learning programmes as part of an alternative education provision or supported learning opportunity, those with disabilities who require short break activities to provide respite for carers and those attending as part of school programmes.
The majority of staff are remaining at work to deliver these programmes and continue to explore ways to support our community. Those staff for whom it is possible to work from home will, whilst some will remain furloughed.
The Centre remains committed to complying with Government guidance including maintaining social distancing, wearing masks when necessary, providing hand sanitiser and ensuring regular cleaning of the facilities.
Unfortunately, at present we are unable to run any out of school clubs, children’s parties, social gatherings, open days or have people staying overnight in our residential accommodation.
The staff assisted by a team of adult volunteers from the local community are continuing to care for the animals, look after the gardens and maintain our site for when we can fully reopen. If you would like to make a booking please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Our online farm shop will continue to take orders for collection on a Friday afternoon.
We sincerely hope that these actions will protect the future of the Centre and enable us to return to providing a full service to our community. We are convinced that there will be an even greater need for the work we do to help improve people’s health and wellbeing.
We will continue to monitor the situation, and respond to any changes in the Government’s guidelines and will keep everyone updated with any changes to the current situation via our website.
