"I am running the Great North Run and raising money for the charity that I work for whilst doing so - Lambourne End Centre for Outdoor Learning.

The Centre's work focuses on developing people, particularly young people and those with disabilities. The 54 acre site combines adventurous activities, a working farm and garden and environmental activities to inspire people to make a positive contribution to their lives and their community. As an outdoor classroom, users are encouraged to have fun learning, stay healthy, build confidence, raise self-esteem and experience a sense of achievement.

For many that attend, they tell us about the importance of the Centre to them and the lack of similar settings that support their needs.
